FLOYDADA, TX (KCBD) – The Floydada Chamber of Commerce has posted on its Facebook page asking for participants to join in on its new farmer’s market initiative.
The market’s organizers are trying to put together plans for this years market, with an opening day set for mid-July, though that is subject to change. This year vendors will be allowed to participate for free and are only asked to fill out an application that is posted on the Floydada chamber’s website.
That also means vendors will not have to get a permit to participate.
Organizers attempted to open up a farmer’s market last year but because of a lack of vendors the idea never got off the ground. The chamber hopes offering free space for vendors will increase people’s willingness to participate.
An organization meeting will take place closer to summer but for not the chamber is just asking for vendors to submit applications. The link to the application can be found here.
