It’s a beautiful morning in the Portland area, with calm, sunny skies and the promise it will stay dry until late this evening.
Today’s high temperature could reach 74 degrees, National Weather Service forecasters say.
Some bicyclists, runners and walkers are already out enjoying the good weather while keeping it local, as Gov. Kate Brown pleaded for people to do this Memorial Day Weekend.
Given the likelihood people could flock to parks and trails, the governor reminded Oregonians recreating in popular areas to wear masks to reduce the transmission of airborne particles that can spread coronavirus.
Forecasters expect the dry weather to continue until around 11 p.m. today, when there is a 20 percent chance of rain. The overnight low temperature could be in the 50s.
There is also a chance of rain Memorial Day morning, followed by a cloudy but dry day.
