Update: Todd Carr charged with murder after his mother found dead in SE Portland apartment

A 54-year-old man was jailed Sunday on suspicion of killing a person found dead in Southeast Portland.

Todd Carr of Portland is accused of second-degree murder. He’s being held without bail in the Multnomah County Detention Center.

Portland police said officers responded to a reported disturbance in the 400 block of Southeast 99th Avenue late Sunday morning and discovered the body of a female.

They also arrested Carr. He’s scheduled to be arraigned Monday.

No information about the circumstances of the death has been released.
