Portland will get a dry day to start the week before a few damp systems move through for the next couple of days.
The Cascades and foothills could see a few showers in the morning Monday, but Portland should expect partly cloudy skies early, followed by clearing by the afternoon. Highs will be close to 77 degrees.
The National Weather Service says a new system arriving later this evening could bring drizzle or light rain early Tuesday. Most areas north of Salem should expect at least some rain before about noon. Showers are likely through the afternoon. The high temp will dip to about 69 degrees.
We’ll see much the same pattern for early Wednesday with another round of light rain or drizzle early in the day, then chances for showers through the afternoon. The high for the first day of July will be close to 70, a good 5-10 degrees below normal for this time of year.
The extended forecast shows a break in the rain likely to begin Thursday.
Snow? It’s nearly July!
